Three Weavers invites all homebrewers to participate in the first annual CANarchy Cup Homebrew Competition.
The CANarchy Cup is designed to challenge the status quo and encourage homebrewers to think outside of the box. The accepted beer styles for this competition are listed in the competition rules.
The Best of Show winner will join our team to brew their original craft beer recipe at Three Weavers Brewing Company in Inglewood, California with the winning beer to be packaged, released, and distributed!
In addition, the winning beer will be submitted to the 2019 Great American Beer Festival Pro-Am competition for a chance at more craft beer glory.

CANarchy Cup Competition Rules & Eligibility Guidelines:
CANarchy Cup is an AHA/BJCP sanctioned homebrew competition open to all homebrewers, age 21+ at time of submission with valid AHA membership.
Entrant(s) must be non-professional homebrewers and legal residents of the United States.
All entries must be handcrafted products, containing ingredients available to the general public, and made using private equipment by hobbyist brewers (i.e., no use of commercial facilities or Brew on Premises operations, supplies, etc.).
Entrants must list all persons responsible for creating each beer.
Each homebrewer is allowed to submit (3) entries as long as beers are submitted in different categories.
An entry is a set of three (3) bottles from a single batch of beer. The bottles should preferably be standard 12oz crown-top bottles. The bottles must be between 12 to 22 oz, must be made of green or brown glass, and be free from labels, excessive dirt and identifying marks. All bottles must be filled within an inch and a half of the top, and be capped with a metal crown cap or cork/cage. The caps must be plain colored, or be completely blacked out with a black permanent marker.
An entrant is the one or more people submitting an entry. Member(s) of an entrant must have actively contributed to brewing, fermenting, and bottling an entry. Every member must be at least 21 year of age. An entrant may not be an entire brew club. Competition staff, judges and stewards are permitted to be entrants.
The official style guidelines for this competition are the 2015 BJCP Style Guidelines. Every entry must be declared a particular subcategory according to these guidelines. Under no circumstances will competition organizers, staff, or judges categorize entries.
The 2019 CANarchy Cup includes 5 categories; any and all entries must be in one of these categories:
23. European Sour Ale Beer (subcategory A: Berliner Weisse)
27. Historical Beer (subcategory A: Gose)
29. Fruit Beer (subcategories A, B, C)
31. Alternative Fermentables Beer (subcategories A, B)
34. Specialty Beer (subcategory C: Experimental)
Each entry must be submitted with a completed BJCP Recipe Form as well as a BJCP Bottle ID. For each entry, attach the completed form to each bottle with a rubber band. (Please note that any entry using glue or tape to secure the label(s) to the bottle(s) will disqualify the entry), Entry forms and all bottle labels for a single entry must have the same information on them.
Beers must be hand delivered or shipped to Three Weavers Brewing Company between June 8, 2019 and June 15, 2019. All entries must be received by Saturday, June 15, 2019 by 5pm.

Please note that it is illegal to ship beers through the U.S. Postal Service and that it is the sole responsibility of the entrant to adhere to all applicable laws and regulations. It is highly recommended to inquire with shipping carrier to adhere to all applicable laws and regulations.

A panel of at least two judges will judge each entry according to the sub-category in which it was entered. No judge will be assigned to a category for which they are entrants. First, second, and third prizes may be awarded in each sub-category at the judge’s discretion. All contestants will receive the score sheets with judges’ comments for their entries.
All entries become the property of Three Weavers Brewing Company and will not be returned. Any questions or disputes will be settled by the competition organizers, and all decisions are final.
This competition is a BJCP certified homebrew competition and judging will take place Saturday, June 22, 2019. Awards will be given to the winner of each category plus Best of Show. All award winners will be announced on Sunday, June 23, 2019.
Please include a self-addressed stamped envelope with your submission if wish to receive a copy of your score sheet. All beers and bottles will become property of Three Weavers Brewing Co. and will not be returned.
Entries must not violate any third party rights including, but not limited to names, images, text, etc.
We reserve the right to use the winning homebrew recipe for production and sale to the general public.
We also reserve the right to submit the winning homebrew recipe and product in other beer contests, including but not limited to the Great American Beer Festival Pro-Am Competition.
The winning homebrewer agrees to disclose the complete winning recipe to Three Weavers, and grant Three Weavers an irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to all commercial and intellectual property rights to the winning beer.
The winning homebrewer will receive a one-time royalty of $333, assuming the beer is brought to market.
Three Weavers, may at its sole discretion, arrange for a roundtrip transportation and accommodations for the homebrew winner from within the U.S. to Inglewood, CA, to assist with brewing the winning batch. In such event, the value of travel, accommodations and related expenses shall not exceed $500. All taxes on prize, royalty, and travel are the responsibility of the winning homebrewer.
By entering the contest, the entrant permits Three Weavers to use their recipe, the recipe name, entrant’s name, likeness, picture, signature, voice, audio and video recordings and biographical information in any manner or media whatsoever (whether now known or hereafter devised) anywhere in the world in perpetuity for the purpose of manufacturing, promoting, advertising and trade, of any product by Three Weavers without further compensation, unless prohibited by law. Three Weavers may withhold payment if it determines that the winner has behaved in a manner that is substantial and damaging to the competition or home brewing.
Entrants are responsible for accurately following all entry requirements.

Nothing herein shall constitute an employment, joint venture, or partnership between entrant and Three Weavers Brewing Company.
This contest is for beer only. No meads, ciders or wines.
